Championing a modern day Simon and Garfunkel sound with their debut album ‘Down Like Gold’, Michael and David AKA Champs are back a with new, more spirited sound in their latest ‘Desire’. The first single from their forthcoming second album ‘VAMALA’ is another gold-medal moment, ‘Desire’ broadens Champs already extensive spectrum, melting the dreamy, dewy-eye evoking harmonies we know the brothers best for effortlessly into vibrant electronics.
It’s an impressively more extenisive venture into instumentation without ever feeling convuluted or tiring, definitely a victorious development considering their debult album was released some nine months ago. All of this leaves us with the question, what’s a champ without their podium? Recent live shows can be rare like gold, but luckily the duo are performing at Camden’s The Stillery on December 2nd!
