Carousel, the space that holds rotating chef residencies, is swapping Marylebone for Fitzrovia this autumn. Founders Ed and Ollie Templeton are moving to much bigger site that spans three Georgian townhouses on Charlotte Street, and more space means they are able to evolve the concept.
The chef residency space will still be there, so expect an ever-changing line-up of guest chefs (the likes of Santiago Lastra, Ravinder Bhogal, Angie Mar and Niklas Ekstedt and Jeremy Chan have all passed through) cooking around a kitchen island, with a ten-seater casual dining room next door for new concepts and longer-term residencies. Carousel will also be doing their own thing with the addition of a wine bar, which’ll serve a changing menu from Ollie of Mediterranean snacks and small plates alongside a curated list of wines and cocktails. There’s even going to be an upstairs space will be for events, workshops and private parties, so it sounds like you won’t be short of eating options at Carousel 2.0.
