no longer just wear the clothes, they design them too. Over the past few years we’ve seen many designer/model collaborations and this month sees Cara Delevingne team up with DKNY for a street-style inspired sports luxe collection.

Cara was not only the inspiration for the collection, but the driving force behind it, taking the drivers seat throughout the design process. Cara says…”I first started to work with DKNY almost two years ago. They always encouraged my design input, my personal style and my ideas from the very beginning of our working relationship. Our creative synergy only grew with time and before you knew it we were exchanging ideas for a jumpsuit”

From this jumpsuit, a 15 piece collection of crop tops, tees, leggings and a Cara favourite – the beanie. Tees feature an image of Delevingne with the slogan ‘If you can read this, you’re too close”



As well as designing the collection, Cara set out on a month long model search. The final six people were chosen from Instagram to star with Cara in the campaign. The group of unknowns include a Toni & Guy trainee and a Glaswegian photographer. We highly doubt the trainee will be going back to sweeping hair!

Cara loves working with DKNY and says…”It was an organic process and it made sense. DKNY is urban and edgy but most of all, its individual! They truly embrace the weirdness in all of us, so you can really be yourself.”



The limited collection of sportswear is due to hit in stores and online this Wednesday, October 15th. Staying true to Cara’s laidback trademark aesthetic, this is a must for the fashion and fitness pack alike.
