The Antinori family are big in Tuscany – they’ve been making wines for over 600 years and they have a clutch of restaurants across Europe, having opened the first one in Florence in 1957 – and now they’re bringing Cantinetta Antinori to London, with a little help from the Monaco-based Giraudi family.
We don’t know what’s going to be on the menu for the London restaurant, opening in Knightsbridge in the autumn, but we’re being promised traditional all-day Tuscan dining – in Florence that translates to Tuscan cold cuts, bread & butter with anchovies, pappardelle al ragu, gnudi, Florentine T-bone steaks, and pear cake, and naturally, plenty of their own bottles on the wine list.
