CANDLELIT VIGIL FOR SABINA NESSA

There’s going to be a vigil held to pay tribute to murdered primary school teacher Sabina Nessa in Pegler Square in Kidbrooke Village tonight, close to where she was fatally attacked last Friday. Nessa, who taught at Rushey Green Primary School in Lewisham, had been on her way to meet a friend at a pub close to her house, a journey that should have taken five minutes to make. Reclaim These Streets, who have helped organise the vigil have said “we will join Sabina Nessa’s community in solidarity against violence against women and to acknowledge her life. Join us in Peglar Square at 7pm. If you can’t join in person, please light a candle at 7pm on your doorstep.”

Fri 24th September 2021, from 7pm
Pegler Square, Kidbrooke Village, London, SE3 9FW
