camden town roadkill opens

Indie butcher and grill Camden Town Roadkill has opened in the Stables Market – yes it’s a terrible name and no it’s not serving up actual roadkill. The short menu actually features an aged Dexter bacon cheeseburger with beef dripping fries; 35-day aged steak with those fries; a steak baguette; and a steak salad, with the first two dishes costing £12.50 and the latter two coming in at a tenner, which is pretty good value for money.

Founders Matthew Gregson-Jones and Jamie Patel are committed to supporting ethical farming, so they are using British rare breed grass-fed meat butchered on-site, and cutting down on waste by using the bones to make sauce bases and dripping to cook the chips in. So if you’re definitely not doing Veganuary, this might be one for you.
