Camden Town has always been famous for nightlife. From the original homeland of punk in the 1970s, to the Britpop years based around bars like The Good Mixer, to today’s bustling hub of nocturnal entertainment, all the way from The Roundhouse to Koko. One part of the Camden experience that isn’t usually associated with nightlife though, is the world-famous Camden market. A mainstay of sunny days by the canal, the stalls are usually closed by the time most Londoners finish work. But why should students, tourists and the unemployed have all the fun?
From 26th July, the market will be staying open late every Thursday night, featuring the usual mixture of fashion, vintage, accessories, arts and crafts, plus plenty of street food from across the globe and, naturally, live music. The market kicks off at 6pm until 10pm, so go along and enjoy a beer, taste some delicious food and allow yourself to be impressed with the very best Camden as to offer, both on the stalls and on the stage.
