Des McDonald is taking over Selfridges rooftop once again and this time it’s going to be a little slice of Italy. Il Tetto will be full of Mediterranean colours and design touches and the menu, from Head Chef Luca Terraneo (previously of L’Anima) will include everything from Venetian cicchetti to pasta, wood fired pizzas and grilled dishes like salmon with braised cannellini beans and Barnsley chop with white onions, seared fennel. They’ll also be shaking up hot cocktails like the Etna – Inzolia white wine, Rafatfia, brandy, roasted cardamom and honey – so you won’t get cold up on the roof as the temperature drops. And if you’re going sober for October or just boozed out, they’ll also be serving up the World’s first NOgroni – yep that’s a non-alcoholic negroni made from 22 ingredients by Seedlip.
