THE TEAM BEHIND KITTY FISHER’S IS OPENING A THIRD RESTAURANT

Cafe Kitty will open this month inside a new Soho theatre

Underbelly, known for its annual festival and for producing Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, is opening its first permanent theatre in Soho, Underbelly Boulevard. Now it’s been revealed that they’ll have an in-house restaurant: Cafe Kitty, a new concept from Kitty Fisher’s Group who are behind acclaimed spots Kitty Fisher’s and Cora Pearl.

Cafe Kitty will be open for lunch and dinner, with its hours stretching late into the night – fitting its Soho setting. Alongside an a la carte, there’ll be pre and post-theatre menus available exclusively for those attending a show at Underbelly Boulevard, with two courses priced at £28 and three at £32. According to the sample menu, we can expect the likes of:

  • Whipped cod’s roe & grilled toast
  • Devilled whitebait & dill mayo
  • Mushroom Thermidor
  • Steak tartare & cured egg
  • Very Welsh rarebit
  • Courgette bhaji & curried yoghurt
  • The Kitty Club sandwich
  • Mussels & black pepper
  • Glenarm Estate lamb cutlets & creamed spinach

A new cocktail bar will also open next to Cafe Kitty on the theatre’s first floor – we don’t know too much about this yet, only that it’ll have a selection of classic cocktails, wine and beer. What we do know is, we’re big fans of the Group’s first two projects, so we’re *very* interested in their third.
