CAFE CECILIA TO OPEN ON THE CANAL IN HACKNEY

We love a good canalside spot so we’re intrigued by Cafe Cecilia, the debut solo restaurant from chef Max Rocha (yes that Rocha – fashion designers John and Simone are his dad and sister), which is opening in a new-build development on the canal close to Broadway Market. Rocha has worked at the likes of The River Cafe, Spring and St John Bread and Wine, and has been running a takeaway service from A Flower Shop on Chatsworth Road during lockdown. He hasn’t shared may details about Cafe Cecilia yet but judging from his Instagram, dishes like potato, onion & sage galettes; artichokes & butter beans; fried egg, potato rosti & sage; and stuffed cabbage rolls could well make an appearance on the menu.
