CAFE 1001 IS RE-LAUNCHING AS A HIGH-END AUDIO BAR

The Brick Lane venue is getting a new look and a new sound system

Listening bars and music-focused restaurants really started to take off last year and if the revamp of Cafe 1001 is anything to go by, the trend will be continuing into 2023. The venue just off Brick Lane is being reborn as a high-end audio bar, complete with a state-of-the-art custom sound system, a custom-built DJ booth (made by Don Heston, who also did the booth at Jumbi), stripped-down decor, and a refocused booking policy.

The new-look bar will be unveiled on Thursday 26th January, with James Priestley and friends taking over the decks, with Shaolin Cowboy following on the Friday and COEO on Saturday. There’ll also be a brand new event, Sunday Supper Club, launching on the weekend, featuring Wolf Music taking care of the tunes and Henry Freestone (of Peckham Cellars) cooking a pop-up menu for the night. With more food pop-ups and events in the pipeline, there’s going to be a lot for music fans to love at Cafe 1001.
