wanted to stay in The Lanesborough but could never quite afford it? Well now you can go one better and buy the contents of the hotel when it closes this month. Don’t worry it’s not shutting down, oh no it’s just having a refurbishment, a complete refurbishment.

The items are being sold off in 3,000 lots between 9th – 13th December and if you want to play the peeping tom you can have a snoop dog through the items on 7th and 8th December when the hotel will show you around – provided you pre-register of course!

The five-star hotel opened in 1990 and has an air of grand about it, so unless you own a bad-ass mansion you might want to think twice before placing a bid…Although those lamps might look nice in our one-bed pokey flat in Hackney, yep we can just imagine them…
