There’s a brand new market open in Camden and this one’s all about being eco-conscious. Buck Street Market, which is located right next to Camden Town tube, is made up of 88 recycled shipping containers with a rooftop garden, is totally plastic-free, has multiple recycling points throughout the space and is composting food waste from its food and drink traders to generate energy to feed back into the power grid.
The market is home to over 80 brands that are all committed to operating in a sustainable way. You can find the likes of Wildflower, a fine-dining restaurant run by Irish celeb chef Adrian Martin, which focuses on foraged goods and zero-waste; Miguel’s Pizza, run by One Pound Meals author Miguel Barclay; Glass Coffee, a tech-driven coffee shop that gives info on the ingredients and farmers attached to each product; slow-fashion streetwear brand Londonworks; and male grooming store Sweyn Forkbeard which sells 100% organic, cruelty-free products that are handmade in London.
