bryn williams to open restaurant in somerset house

It’s all change at Somerset House as Tom Aikens’ Tom’s Kitchen is making way for a brand new restaurant from Welsh chef Bryn Williams. It’s a pretty enviable setting; located in the building’s South Wing and looking out on to the River Thames, it’ll join the likes of Spring and Fenandez & Wells in what makes for a very impressive line-up at Somerset House. Bryn, who has been chef patron of Odette’s in Primrose Hill since 2008 will be taking a veg-focused (but not vegetarian) approach where fruit and veg is centre stage. So we can expect to see the likes of roast young broccoli with olive tapenade, sage beignet and scorched Cornish mackerel, and chargrilled leeks with Burke Brown egg and morel mushrooms on the menu. Sounds good to us!
