Brother Marcus has headed east for site number three, now open in Spitalfields. Like the Balham and Angel restaurants, this Brother Marcus (also the largest) serves up an all-day Eastern Mediterranean menu. There are dishes like the Step Sister (sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters with avo, kale and a poached egg) and the Brother Special (beetroot cured salmon, scrambled eggs and sesame glazed broccoli) on at breakfast alongside juices and pastries.
The day menu features plates like kefalotyri saganaki, grilled pork sheftaliés, Turkish pide, falafel wraps and an array of salads from the counter, with slow-cooked dishes coming on in the evening. The wine list focuses on low-intervention producers and natural wines with Mediterranean ingredients like mastiha and raki in the cocktails. Sounds like the third sibling in the Brother Marcus fam is going to be a hit.
