There’s another big opening heading to Islington soon (Jones & Sons being the other) as Brother Marcus is heading north, opening a second (and bigger) site in Angel in June. The Balham original has become famous for its brunch – sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters with avo and poached egg is particularly popular – and this will be crossing the river, as will a brand new evening menu featuring Mediterranean small plates, inspired by owner Tasos’s upbringing in Crete. You’ll be able to feast on dishes like fried feta with honey and sesame; grilled octopus with fava puree and charcoal oil; cracked pork belly with apple labneh; and honey bombs with cinnamon syrup, and the Med theme continues on the drinks list with Greek-inspired cocktails, wines and beers. Sounds like this big bro is going be a big hit.
