BRIXTON DISCO FESTIVAL 2022

Brixton’s sell-out disco festival is back for the fourth year and this time, it’s even bigger than ever, with a line-up of live music and DJs across a range of venues in the nieghbourhood. Expect sets from Mr Scruff, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Dave Lee ZR, The Shapeshifters, with Teni Tinks and Obi Franky, Greg Wilson, DJ Paulette, and more. There’ll also be a screening of Paris is Burning, the iconic film documenting the New York ballroom scene during its 1980s–1990s heyday, at the Ritzy cinema. Afterwards, a Q&A session will be held by ‘Black and Gay, Back in the Day’, a digital community archive honouring and remembering Black queer life in Britain, with a super special guest, the film’s director Jennie Livingston. And, of course, festival-goers can stop by Brixton Village to grab something to eat and drink, with options including Rudie’s Jerk Shack, Taproom, Fish, Wings & Tings, The Joint, and The Natural Bar Company.
