If you’re a street food fan then you won’t want to miss the final of the British Street Food Awards 2019. The annual event is the final stage of the competition, and after five heats whittling down the strongest traders from around the country, you can be sure there’s going to be some amazing dishes on offer.
Taking place at Hawker House on 13th – 14th September, the 16 finalists, including posh poutine, Malaysian fried chicken roti, Indian slow-cooked lamb burgers and Filipino grilled chicken, will be cooking off to be crowned champion. You lot will be able to vote for your faves and then a panel of expert judges will reveal who’s dishing up the best street food in the country.
There’ll also be free canapes from the Hellman’s food waste truck with the Hawker House bars providing the liquid refreshment. Tickets are just a fiver, so snap ’em up.
