Shacklewell Lane, many moons ago, in 1818 in fact there lived a butcher shop. J. R Brewer the name was…oh yes, he was a butcher alright! Don’t panic, this is not going all Sweeny Todd, it’s been tasteful transformed into a bar swapping meat for liquor.

An East London Furniture Maker aptly named the Furniture Butcher has been hard at work restoring what is by day his very own work shop. NOW it is by day a cafe with Brewer’s Bar coming alive in the evenings as the J. R Brewer houses a craft beer and wine bar. We’ve heard this place exclusively stocks Partizan craft beer at £4.50 on draft with £4 bottles. There’s also bar snacks and cheese from La Fromagerie. Go take a butchers…
