Maik are designers of geometric prints and create a range of lifestyle products. Taking their name from an old Scottish term meaning the equal or peer of an object, Maik base their production in the UK and focus on creating sustainably sourced and ethically produced products. The brand evolved around this ethos after past experience showed them that they couldn’t rely on big factories to source materials responsibly.
Maik design all their prints in house before being sent to the printers and makers they work with. Whether it’s a Women’s social enterprise in East London manufacturing the woven products or the UK’s original eco printing company producing their paper, Maik have considered every aspect of their production process. And on top of all that the clean cut, design led products look damn coool.
