If you like bourbon, beer and brisket, and you live in Bow, well then you’re in for a right treat as new bar The Bourbon is opening on Roman Road. It’ll have dive bar vibes with mismatched furniture, street art on the walls, soul on the soundtrack and a very well stocked back bar. There’ll be plenty of its namesake bourbon – more than 40 varieties, including some very rare 23-year-old bottles – as well as a wide range of American beers like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Oskar Blues Can-o-Bliss Citrus and Cigar City Fancy Papers Hazy IPA, American wines, and cocktails like the Superstar Martini (like a Pornstar Martini but with bourbon-soaked vanilla).
All-American drinks need all-American food so chef Sam Gordon will be cooking up hickory BBQ dishes, including brisket, ribs, burnt ends and veggies, and you’ll be able to buy bottles of his homemade sauces – hello paprika aioli – to take home too. Bring on the meat sweats we say.
