BOUNDARY TO REPLACE ALBION AT THE BOUNDARY SHOREDITCH

Shoreditch hotel The Boundary has been bought by James McCulloch, founder of Harcourt Inns, who’s been giving it a big makeover, and part of that refurb is the replacement of Albion Cafe with new all-day bar and restaurant Boundary. The revamped space will boast a new 20-metre zinc top bar and 100 covers, with the basement being used for events.

Robin Freeman (formerly of 1 Lombard Street and Ekte Nordic Kitchen) is heading up the kitchen at Boundary (as well as at the rooftop bar), and he’ll be serving a modern British brasserie-style menu featuring dishes like Lulworth Bay scallops in anchovy & parsley butter, Glenarm Estate longhorn steak tartare, whole roasted chicken with wild garlic butter, grilled Torbay cod, and wild garlic & nettle risotto. There’ll also be brunch on Saturdays and roasts on Sundays, so it’s set to be quite the buzzing Shoreditch spot.
