To mark Bob Bob Ricard’s 15th anniversary, the group is opening a chicken-centric spin-off
Press for champagne buttons, opulent interiors, caviar…..lots of things spring to mind when talking about Bob Bob Ricard, and come October, rotisserie chicken is going to be on that list. Bébé Bob, the latest Bob Bob Ricard restaurant, will specialise in rotisserie chicken, fine wines and champagne – hey if it’s working for Tom Sellers, then why not try it?
Opening on the corner of Golden Square in Soho, Bébé Bob will, of course, look pretty glam inside, with Art Deco detailing, geometric patterned carpets, a circular bar with a gold granite top and a red and blue colour scheme. Rotisserie chicken is at the heart of the menu, with French birds being carved tableside, served with chicken jus and sides like truffle fries, sauteed kale and Albufeira sauce. It wouldn’t be a Bob Bob joint without caviar, so there’ll be three varieties on offer, alongside other dishes like:
- Jersey oysters
- egg mayonnaise with anchovy
- white asparagus & hollandaise
- chocolate fondant with cherries, creme fraiche & kirsch
- torteau fromage
- Paris Brest with hazelnut cream & praline
- Limmonaya vodka over lemon sorbet
You’ll be able to pair your chicken, caviar and chocolate fondant with a range of fine wines, including red and white Burgundies and a range of rosés. It seems like the famous ‘press for Champagne’ buttons won’t be making an appearance though, so you’ll have to ask for your drinks the old fashioned way.
