Tuesday The Blues Kitchen is celebrating 20 years of American record label Chess Records, who were responsible for those early rock’n’roll greats like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Bo Diddley.

Yes all you cat’s better cruise along to enjoy the Big fat Music Quiz, music from the House band and even get 1950’s style cocktails like Hemingway Daiquiri and Trader Vic Mai Tai. The food too will be 1950s themed with chicken pot pie and buttered corn, butterscotch brownies and ice cream sundaes – no word on the prices yet but we don’t think they’ll be 1950s! However anyone who takes down a Chess record LP does score a free cocktail.

Set to be a blast. Now cut the gas and make sure all you hippsters ride these kicks…or you’ll get a knuckle sandwich!

Tues 20th Sept, from 7:30pm
The Blues Kitchen, 111-113 Camden High Street, NW1
