Red Shoes are back with a self-titled new album, and this time they’ve really fuzzed it up. Described by the band as their “rawest, heaviest, sexiest and most confident sounding record so far”, expect buzz for breakfast and distortion for dinner.

First single ‘The Perfect Mess’ showcases the sound the duo mined in a Berlin warehouse, self-producing the album for a riot of imperfection. Don’t think they can’t do fancy, though: the single was unlocked via QR codes placed in cities round the globe.

‘Blood Red Shoes’ is available from the 3rd of March via Jazz Life, and an extensive European tour follows.
