in a converted Victorian tram depot in the heart of Hackney, BLOK is not a normal gym. The two studios, retaining the industrial interiors of the original building, host a range of classes, from yoga and boxing to the more unusual Primal Movement and Circusfit. These are designed to make you work hard AND feel inspired about fitness. And the BLOK experience doesn’t stop once the workout is over. You can re-energise in the cafe with Botanic Lab juices, Square Mile coffee, BLOK shakes and bone broth from the BLOK Broth Bar, the first of its kind in a fitness space, and even exercise your mind because BLOK is also an evolving exhibition space, focusing on pieces that spotlight and celebrate movement. Part gym, part gallery, this is fitness 2016 style.
