Late last year we spent a week eating our way around Portland where we managed to get our hands on a bleeding vegan burger – we have to say we were impressed, texture and taste wise it was pretty close to real meat. Well no need to fly to Portland because Mildreds Dalston has announced that they are set to serve them up. The B-12 Burger is made from oyster mushrooms, potatoes, peas, wheat and soy protein, vitamin B-12, coconut oil and beetroot juice, with the latter giving the patty its “blood”, and because the B-12 is packed with protein, it’s worth getting your chops around it whether you like your burgers real bloody or not.
