We’re big fans of Blacklock, like the rest of London (apparently there’s a two-month waiting list for Sunday lunch at their Soho site) so it’s great news that they’re opening a third restaurant, this time in Shoreditch.
They’re taking over the Rivington Grill site and are making the most of the building, stripping it back to reveal some old features (it used to be a furniture maker’s factory). Shoreditch will be their biggest space yet so this Blacklock will have a dedicated bar area, complete with cocktails created in collaboration with NYC bar Slowly Shirley and a separate food menu, featuring Welsh rarebit nuggets and mini Yorkshire puds with melted black pudding and gravy. Er YUM. And with the main dining area doing all the chops, steaks and what’s probably the best Sunday roast in London, we are ready to go ALL IN.
And Blacklock is doing 50% OFF food during the soft launch period 2nd-6th October before the restaurant officially opens on the 8th. You can book but there’ll also be space for walk-ins.
