There’s no stopping those chops as Blacklock, which already has sites in Soho, Shoreditch and the City, and is opening restaurant number four, their biggest one yet at 110 covers, in Covent Garden. It’ll be just the other side of Henrietta Street, joining a host of other restaurants including the also meat-focused Flat Iron, Din Tai Fung, Cora Pearl, Frenchie, The Oystermen and Big Mamma’s Ave Mario.
The new Blacklock will follow the same whole animal approach, so as well as the signature piles of chops and Sunday roasts, the menu will feature lesser-known cuts like Denver and tri-tip steaks. The family-size desserts will be present and correct, including a brand new giant ice cream sundae, as will the cocktail trolley and sustainable wine on tap. And Blacklock is continuing to work on its sustainability efforts, beginning the journey to B Corp status, with their Planet Promise, planting a tree for every person that dines with them – as if we needed another reason to go ‘All In’. If you’d like a sneaky taste before the restaurant officially opens, the Blacklock team will be handing out FREE burgers from 12pm on 26th January, but there’s only 100 available so you best be quick!
