BALLS AT THE READY because Birdies is bringing crazy golf to Islington this summer. The new site, opening in the Angel Central centre just off Upper Street (where KFC brand Pelicana is also setting up shop), will have the same vibes as the Battersea Birdies, meaning a bright and bold multi-sensory golf course with plenty of immersive elements to really put your swing and putt to the test.
There’ll also be a bar serving beer, wine and cocktails so you can debrief after your round (or maybe you’re the type of golfer who gets better, not worse, after a few bevvies), and an as-yet-unnamed street food trader will be in residence serving up the grub. At just over 5550 sq ft, it’s going to be the biggest Birdies yet and will save all you North London peeps from trekking south of the river for a game of golf.
