Big Mamma Group is launching another London restaurant this October. Edmondo will be the Franco-Italian group’s seventh spot in the capital – its first in the City – and will follow the tried and true Big Mamma formula of Italian cuisine served in maximalist interiors. Although Big Mamma has another restaurant called Edmondo in Hamburg, this opening will be an entirely new concept – and its most classically Italian to date.
The menu will include dishes like XL focaccia, creamy Gnocchi al Gorgonzola and Big Mamma’s largest selection of Italian grilled steaks. Desserts are a big pull of Big Mamma’s restaurants – we’ve all seen THAT lemon meringue pie – and suitably indulgent selections will be served at Edmondo, including a chocolate cake with a melting middle and an elevated affogato.
Edmondo follows Barbarella, which opened in Canary Wharf last year, joining the group’s ever-popular portfolio of restaurants including Glorio and Circolo Popolare.
