The doors to Gloria have only been open a matter of months but Big Mamma Group is already onto its second site, with Circolo opening in Fitzrovia this June (and we hear rumours that there’s another couple of places in the pipeline too).
Like Gloria, Circolo will be totally over the top with thousands of spirits bottles lining the walls, a ton of lights and plants out on the terrace, and though still Italian, the menu here will be inspired by Sicily. That means dishes like metre-long pizzas with San Marzano tomatoes and burrata; sfoglia norma (giant silk handkerchief pasta); calamari e lemoni; pork skewers al arrabiata; and the OTT 1L sundae served with giant cookie chunks. Prepare to be seeing a lot of that one on the ‘gram this summer.
