When it comes to food, the devil most certainly is in the detail. Burgers, hot dogs and steaks have long dominated London’s ‘foodie’ scene, but there is a new opening set to get tongues wagging. And for good reason too. This June will see the opening of Balls & Company, Soho’s first gourmet meatball gaff.
The brainchild of Australian-born chef Bonny Porter, this balls extravaganza will offer a very concise menu – doing exactly what it says on the tin – offering diners the choice of five varieties of balls. Varieties served in Mauviel copper pans will include ‘Wagyu beef’, ‘Confit salmon’ and ‘Quinoa, beetroot & feta’, each served in portions of four and affordably priced below £8. And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper dining experience, without a revolving selection of seasonal side dishes and desserts. Sweet. Get the date in your diary, you owe it to your meat-a-ballism.
