best london festivals

We bloody love a good festival, but it’s getting to the point where we feel a bit old for the whole camping shabang and just want our own bed at the end of a long day partying, which is why we LOVE London festivals. So we’ve rounded up the best festivals pitching up in the big smoke this summer and there are some right bangers.

Field Day

Field Day is without a doubt one of our fave festivals in London. Taking over Viccy Park, the one-day festival has one of the best line-ups to date with Aphex Twin, Run The Jewels, Flying Lotus, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Jon Hopkins and Loyle Carner all on the bill. And with Street Feast, Venn Street Market and London Brewers Market pitching up to help keep you fuelled, Field Day really does tick all the boxes.

Lovebox

We have a love/hate relationship with Lovebox, but this year we can’t resist their Friday line-up. C’mmn they’ve got Frank Ocean, Solange, Jamie XX, Kaytranada, Sampha, Seth Troxler and Rüfüs all on one day. And if you can handle Saturday (and all the teenagers!) expect sounds from Chase & Status, Jess Glynne, Anne Marie, Kano and Annie Mac.

Citadel

Viccy Park really is the host with the most and we can’t wait for Citadel to pitch up this year. The chilled out festival has really gone to town on their programming with a UK festival exclusive from Foals and a live set from Bonobo. And with a reggae roast being served at the bandstand, a spandex stage and roller hoedown, we’re excited about more than just he music.

Visions

Taking over 5 venues and 3 outdoor spaces in Hackney, Visions is a one-day festival with a difference. Expect music from Liars, Goat Girl, Ider, Blanck Mass, Frankie Cosmos and Jenny Hval, a street food & craft beer market, punk rock karaoke, a screen printing class and a dog show. Yes, it really IS all going on at Visions.
