Brody Dalle and Dean Allen Spunt from No Age had a kid who started a band with Pete Doherty circa 2003 we imagine they’d craft a tune not unsimilar to Sheffield based Best Friends’ latest ditty ‘Fake Spit’. Appropriately signed to No Age’s former label FatCat Records, Best Friends will win their way into your heart with snappy fuzz-laden melodies as lo-fi as they are radio friendly. Like any best friend worth their weight in salt they’ve the power to beat people in the face, the energy to keep you dancing till 5am but most importantly the sensibility to not harp on for ages and at just under two minutes ‘Fake Spit’ is the perfect example of how to impact with tact.

Debut album ‘Hot. Reckless. Totally Insane.’ is out on May 18th and ‘Fake Spit’ is out March 9th but don’t worry, if you need time with your musical bessies before then they’re playing The Social on the 25th of February. BEST FRIENDS FOREVER <3
