BERBERE PIZZERIA TO OPEN IN CLAPHAM

Matteo and Salvatore Aloe, the founders of Italy’s popular Berberè Pizzeria, are bringing it to London by taking over the old Radio Alice site in Clapham, which the brothers actually helped to launch. The London outpost of Berberè will echo the look and feel of the restaurants across Italy, with an outdoor terrace and an open kitchen at the heart of the restaurant, Italian classics on the drinks list and 24-hour 24-hour fermented sourdough pizzas.

Those pizzas will be topped with the best Italian produce like fior di latte from Agerola, extra virgin olive oil from Puglia and anchovies from the Amalfi coast. As well as classics like the Margherita and the Napoli, the menu will also include the likes of the Spicy Diavola (with spicy salami and ‘nduja), the Aubergine (with baked aubergine, basil & walnut pesto and smoked ricotta) and the Gorgonzola (a white base with gorgonzola, speck, radicchio, mozzarella and honey). And if you like your dough deep-fried, Berberè will be doing fritti as antipasti and sweet dough balls filled with vanilla gelato and peanut butter for dessert.

If you get down there between 8th – 14th October when Berberè is on soft launch, you can bag 50% OFF food.

Hungry for more? These are our fave places to a grab a pizz’a the action.
