Ben Tish, Culinary Director of The Stafford London, is taking over the cafe at Stepney City Farm for a day with all profits going back into the charitable farm and outdoor learning centre. His menu will cover breakfast, including dishes like fried farm eggs with sage and sauteed potatoes and Stepney Farm bacon sandwich with tomato jam, right through to the afternoon, with plates like slow cooked lamb shoulder pickled and spiced cabbage, daal and rose harissa; pumpkin borani with yoghurt, chilli butter and flat bread; grilled fennel sausages with butter beans, greens and salsa verde; and plum cake with rose syrup. Alongside the cafe menu, you’ll also be able to whip round the farm’s annual Christmas market with seasonal produce, crafts, and live music.
