Corbin & King closed their Islington brasserie Bellanger last year but they never managed to sell the site – two pre-lockdown sales fell through – so now the pair have decided to bring the restaurant back. After surveying customers about a potential Bellanger pop-up and getting a resounding yes, it’s now going ahead.
In addition to getting a new look for the re-opening, the menu will be getting an overhaul to bring it more in line with that of Brasserie Zedel, both food and price-wise. As Jeremy King said, “the overall feeling will be one of cheaper prices, more fun, and greater casualness – but all in the Corbin & King style.” Bring it on we say.
