Itmay have come to your attention that there’s been some sort of big event going on in London for the past month, an event all about people coming together in the spirit of competition and sportsmanship. The Olympics have dominated everything in London in 2012 and everyone wants to get involved, so bars, restaurants and business all over town have incorporated the Games to celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime experience of being the host city.
The events will soon be an end, but to coincide with the Paralympic Closing Ceremony and the culmination of a summer of sport, the The Terrace, Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in Belgravia are having one last weekend of competitive fun! Running from 3pm on Friday 7th September and throughout the weekend, they are hosting the Belgravia Games on their spacious terrace.
Fancy yourself as a Connect Four champion? Prove it on the giant set! Think you have a steady hand? Then check out the giant Jenga or the steady hand buzzer game. Feeling a bit retro? Then the oversized kerplunk is for you!
Luckily, these games don’t involve too much running around or physical exertion because the event is in partnership with Sloane’s Dry Gin and after a few of their special G&T’s and house cocktails athletics will be the last thing on your mind. Even the menu is gin-spired (see what we did there?!) with the gin being used as an ingredient in many of the dishes available from their al fresco restaurant. Whisper it quietly, but there may even be a free drink in it for you too – the first 25 people to arrive with a voucher each day can claim a free G&T. And how do you claim the voucher? Simply Like their Facebook page, download and print. Easy!
So good luck in the Belgravia Games, and may the best man win!
