Become a Penguin Keeper at London Zoo

Hang out with the Humboldt penguins for a morning

If you’ve always wanted to go behind-the-scenes at London Zoo and find out what it’s actually like to be a zookeeper, now you can. The zoo is launching a Penguin Keeper experience, where you can join the zoo’s experts in looking after the colony on Penguin Beach for a morning.

You’ll properly get stuck in – and get up close to the Humboldt penguins – by helping to clean the beach, conduct daily health checks, preparing the food (yes that means buckets of fish) and feeding them lunch, all while learning about the waddle and the conservation work that the zoo does.

The experience, which will be running on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, is limited to just four people per day so you’re able to get fully involved, with tickets costing £115 per person plus admission to the zoo.
