BEAUTY TREATMENTS MADE SIMPLE WITH BOOKSY

With all the Christmas fun going on and lots of events you want to be primped and preened for, things can get pretty hectic so what you don’t want is to be wasting time trying to find a salon that can squeeze you in. Thankfully there’s an app for that. Booksy lets you search for hair, beauty and wellbeing treatments – they have everything from hair and nails to tattoos and holistic medicine available – by service type or location, and book, pay for and manage your appointments in just a few taps. With party season upon us, we were in desperate need of a colour refresh so we booked in with Pedro Plastic Hair at ESHK in Shoreditch for a consultation and then a colour appointment. It’s all done through the app and you get confirmation and reminder notifications too, just in case you forget to note it down in your calendar.

As we just wanted to bring our hair back to life rather than dye it all colours of the rainbow (although that is soemthing he can do), Pedro suggested going for a darker shade towards the root (to cover those pesky greys) and a warmer tone towards the ends to add more dimension. He used Wella Colour Touch and added a B3 Brazilian Bond Builder in the mix to help replenish our hair while the colour was working its magic. Then it was a thorough hair wash and blow dry using Nine Yards products, and voila, a fresh new ‘do.
