BARWORKS TO OPEN GAS STATION IN KING’S CROSS

Chapel Down only managed to keep their Gin Works bar and restaurant on the canal in King’s Cross open for a year, so now Barworks is trying its luck with the site by opening new bar Gas Station there this October. The group, which runs several venues in town including Mare Street Market, The Exmouth Arms, The Well & Bucket and The Slaughtered Lamb, is putting three bars inside the two-floor space plus a large canalside terrace that’s been designed with Richard Wilford from Kew Gardens to be a ‘pollinator haven’.

The Kew link will be reflected inside too with East London Liquor Company’s Kew Gin on the drinks menu, with the food offering including fresh seafood and modern seasonal dishes. If these guys are able to replicate what they’ve done in Hackney with Mare Street Market here, they’re onto a real winner.

Opens October 2021
Goods Way, Kings Cross, London N1C 4UR
