Barnaby Bars Is Bringing Handmade Chocolate Bars to Covent Garden

Time to put down the Twixes and the KitKats

If you’re a particularly devoted chocoholic, you may have spotted a new chocolate bar pop-up in Covent Garden over the last few weeks. If you haven’t, let us introduce you to Barnaby Bars. The chocolate bar biz opened a test kitchen in the area in December, selling a range of handmade chocolate and cream bars in fetching yellow packaging, with flavours like:

  • Specatular, with brownie butter, cookies and speculoos cream
  • Luna, with coconut and almond praline
  • Matchstick, with s’mores, brownie butter and torched marshmallow
  • TipTap, with peanut butter, salted caramel and peanut crunch

Now the team is prepping for a grand opening in the spring; they’ll be staying in the same location on Upper St Martin’s Lane but they’ll be refitting the shop in the middle of February, so it’ll likely look a bit different when we see it again. There have also been some one-off creations (we’ve spotted a red velvet & white chocolate on their Instagram) available – it is a test kitchen after all – so it’ll be interesting to see which bars make the cut for the opening menu.

Opens spring 2024
