Not jetting off to Barcelona this spring? No need to rush to book plane tickets because Barcelona is coming to London (fingers crossed for some Spanish sunshine too) thanks to aperitivo brand El Bandarra, who are hosting their first ever Aperitivo Week. In Spain ‘la hora del aperitivo’, aka getting some drinks and tapas in with your mates before you start on lunch, is a beloved tradition and El Bandarra are bringing it over to our shores and supersizing it, turning one hour into eight days of fun.
It’s all kicking off at Vinoteca King’s Cross from 4pm – 7pm on launch day where an El Bandarra tuk tuk and brand ambassador Alexa Farrow will be mixing up Bandarra Spritzes (1 part El Bandarra Al Fresco, 1 part Cava, splash of tonic & a grapefruit slice) and Al Fresco & Tonics, alongside a jamon carver adding some extra Spanish flavour. And if you miss the tuk tuk, you’ll be able to try the Barcelona aperitivo menu at all Vinoteca locations, throughout the week. The celebrations continue over at Hicce in Coal Drops Yard, where aperitivo lovers can enjoy a 500ml bottle of El Bandarra Rojo as a new serve on the terrace menu.
MEATliquor is also getting in on the aperitivo action, with all twelve restaurants running an El Bandarra menu. The end of the Aperitivo Week celebration is just the start of an aperitivo summer at MEATliquor Clapham as it marks the opening of the El Bandarra terrace – if you book in between 12pm – 4pm on 28th May you’ll get a Bandarra Spritz and goody bag (until stock lasts) and there’ll be tapas to tuck into too.
