BARBOUN TO OPEN IN SHOREDITCH

Hus Vedat, the chef behind Horvada and the now-closed Yosma (which is supposedly relocating after the site was turned into Playa Bar), is opening Barboun in Shoreditch with Fez Ozalgan heading up the kitchen. The restaurant will be inspired by the Eastern Med with a focus on open fire cooking, so you can expect dishes like smoked aubergine with burnt tomato, grilled wild seabass with fermented yoghurt tarhana, Anatolian spiced tomahawk steak, and monkfish with zhoug.

As well as the restaurant itself being open all day, meaning you’ll be able to get Levantine brekkies, Barboun will also have a grab-and-go deli where you can pick up produce like olives, cheeses, jams and yoghurt.
