BAR LA RAMPA TO OPEN IN OXFORD CIRCUS

A slice of Cuba is coming to Central London as Bar La Rampa is set to open in Oxford Circus this summer. The bar and restaurant aims to be a celebration of 1950’s Havana culture with a cocktail list devised by mixologist and Idyll Drinks founder Marcis Dzelzainis. With cocktails at the forefront of the menu, you can expect drinks like the ‘Papa Doble,’ a homage to Ernest Hemingway’s drink of choice, alongside variations of Cuban classics like Mojitos and Daiquiris. Once you’ve sloshed back a few cocktails you’ll probably be ready to gorge on an assortment of salty meats and cheeses – the menu, curated by Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng of TATA Eatery, will feature Cuban delicacies like the Cubano sandwich with pork belly, ham & raclette cheese; foot-long pork chicharrones; and picadillo empanadas.

Boasting both indoor and outdoor seating, plus regular live music nights, Bar La Rampa will be the perfect location to enjoy a cooling cocktail in the sun after a hard day’s shopping in summer or unwind by the bar once the sun sets. Covid restrictions might mean that packing your bags to Cuba is off the cards but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a little piece of the Caribbean here in town.
