We can’t get to Portugal right now so the team behind Bar Douro is bringing Portugal to us in the shape of new sandwich pop-up Roulote. Initially running out of the Flat Iron Square restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays (before moving into a street food trailer in the square come summer) the pop-up will serve two sandwiches for takeaway; the Bifana, with pork shoulder poached in a white wine & fermented pepper sauce, savora mustard mayo and carcaças bread; and the Octopus Roll, with octopus, red peppers, caramelised onions, straw potato crisps, piri-piri myao and a soft white roll.
You’ll also be able to get Free Star alcohol-free beer to go with your sarnies and on 13th March, both of them will be available for HALF PRICE until they run out, so get down there early.
