Remember the 5th of November – Yip that’s right folks this Saturday is Bonfire night! So how do you celebrate? We hear you cry! Fear not because we’ve done the hard work so you don’t have to…recommendations below:

If you’re after the full shebang – Catherine wheels, rockets, the lot then check out one of the firework displays taking place across the city. The biggest one is at Blackheath but be warned it can get a little crowded. Over in East London our favourite Victoria Park fireworks are no more, they have now being split into three small displays at Weavers Fields in Bethnal Green, Millwall Park in Mudchute, and Bartlett Park in Limehouse. Other displays include Brockwell Park, Battersea (£10), Southwark and Crystal Palace (£5).

Personally we’re heading to Netil360 for hot cocktails and views over the city. But if you fancy doing something a little different, which doesn’t involve freezing yourself to death then we’d suggest you headed along to The Royal Horseguards Hotel for the special Guy Fawkes Afternoon Tea with gunpowder macaroons and TNT truffles.

If monies well and truly tight you could head along to Arthaus in Hackney for the Bonfire Lounge – a night of music, visual art, poetry and performance focused around the cult of Bonfire Night. It’s free and warm – what more do you need?

Whatever you do, you should all do one thing = ENJOY IT.
