Grungy
stylings and strippers attending church services? Yep, it’s a new video from Band Of Skulls. Gloriously sleazy and super grungy all in one, and also featuring The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, ‘Hoochie Coochie’ is short and simple at just two and a half minutes in length, but makes for a pounding stomper full of contagious riffs and Russell Marsden’s falsetto vocals. Accompanied by a video that will get the pulse racing and cause plenty of controversy, ‘Hoochie Coochie’ is one of the catchiest tracks to come from Band Of Skulls to date.
The band’s former touring mate, Dan Auerbach, has also given ‘Hoochie Coochie’ a bit of a makeover and you can check out his version here
The original track ‘Hoochie Coochie’, Auerbach’s version and additional remixes from Lindstrom and Blue Lotus will all feature on Band Of Skulls’ forthcoming EP out on July 27. You can catch the band’s headline show at London’s Eventim Apollo on November 14 as well as with Arcade Fire at Hyde Park, Glastonbury, Sonisphere, Reading and Leeds festivals.
