The go-to spot for fresh pasta in Central London is branching further south with a new location near Borough Market
Londoners love fresh pasta and for the past five years, Bancone has been supplying it from their restaurants in Covent Garden and Soho. Now, it’s been announced that the group will be welcoming a third site, this time in Borough Yards, a new food and shopping destination currently being developed just next to Borough Market.
Bancone’s current executive chef Ben Waugh will oversee the offering at the SE1 spot, which will include plenty of the fresh pasta, cocktail and wine favourites we’ve come to expect from the restaurant, as well as some new surprises. That means you’ll find their classic silk handkerchiefs with walnut butter and confit egg yolk; mafalde with spicy pork and nduja ragù; and cacio e pepe on the menu. For now, the surprise dishes are still under wraps – we’ll keep you updated with more info as we get it.
